The Birch is the first in the Celtic Tree Calendar, also known as the Ogham. She is known as The White Lady of the Wood. She symbolises creativity, renewal and new beginnings. The white stag, the animal associated with the birch, appears in the full moon nestled within The White Lady's roots. The stag, loses and regrows his antlers each year, is also a symbol of renewal, regeneration and eternal life. He displays the Birch's Ogham symbol in the centre of his forehead.
